About Us
Established in 1981, we are a family run removals business based in Herne Bay, Kent, with over 45 years of experience helping people move. Now proudly run by the second generation, Roger and Sam took over the running of the business in 2006 from Sam’s Dad, the original founder of Hillway. Since then, we have continued to build on the values the business was founded on, with a strong focus on personal service, care and attention to detail. With decades of experience behind us, we understand that moving home can be a big and sometimes stressful experience. That’s why we pride ourselves on providing a friendly, reliable and professional service, taking care of our customers and their belongings every step of the way.
Roger De-Buriatte
Roger is a partner in the business and oversees the day-to-day running of the company. He is involved with every removal, ensuring that our high standards are maintained from start to finish and is always on hand to answer any questions our customers may have. Roger prides himself on providing old-fashioned customer service, believing that a friendly, personal and caring approach is at the heart of everything we do.
Sam De-Buriatte
Sam is a partner in the business and has a strong family connection to Hillway, with her Dad being the original founder of the company. While she may work mainly behind the scenes, Sam plays a vital role in keeping the business running smoothly. She looks after invoicing, accounts, finance and marketing, as well as everything relating to employment and our employees. Sam helps ensure that the team has everything they need to provide the high standards of service and care that Hillway is known for.
MEET THE TEAM
Trevor
Trevor has been with us for over seven years and has completed all of his training in-house. He confidently runs smaller jobs when Roger is not present and takes great pride in delivering excellent customer service and care. His friendly, reliable approach ensures our customers receive the same high standard of service on every job.
Michael
Michael has been with us for over four years, bringing with him many years of valuable experience in the removals industry. Before joining us, he worked for a Faversham-based removals firm until the owner decided to retire. That’s when Michael came to join our team, bringing his experience, knowledge and commitment to providing an excellent service to our customers.
Phil
Phil joined us nearly two years ago after many years of experience working for other removals companies. He decided it was time to join a team that truly specialises in customer service and care, and we’re delighted to have him as part of the team. With his years of experience and friendly nature, Phil is a great asset to the company. Being a proud Yorkshireman, he also runs mainly on tea — so there should always be a kettle nearby when Phil is on the job!
Danny
Danny is the newest member of our team, having joined us within the last year. He is currently progressing through his in-house training and has quickly become a valued member of the team. With his positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic, Danny takes pride in every job he is involved in. He is committed to providing excellent customer service and ensuring our customers receive the care and attention they deserve.
